De-Cruit

Special One-Night Only Performances

Over 23 million living veterans have been wired for war but never re-wired to come home.  Founded to “treat trauma through Shakespeare and science,” the organization "De-Cruit" addresses this in two one-night only performances, seamlessly interweaving the works of Shakespeare with personal experiences to help us understand the national crisis we face when we fail to reintegrate our veterans.

From Shakespeare's Henry VI, parts 1, 2, and 3 and Richard III

She-Wolf is a new play written and performed by Stephan Wolfert and Dawn Stern as the first stop following its world premiere. This production uses Shakespeare’s text to tell the story of Margaret of Anjou who, despite being taken prisoner of war, then ransomed off by her father, went on to command armies. She-Wolf uses her story to speak to the experiences of women in the armed forces.
